Why Starting Is the Hardest Part (and Why It’s Worth It)
Hi there,
Hi, I’m Grant
If you’ve been thinking about counselling for a while (weeks, months, maybe longer), you’re not alone. A lot of people tell me the hardest part wasn’t the sessions. It was sending that first email.
That makes sense. Holding it in feels safer, because you know what to expect. But the weight doesn’t usually get lighter on its own - it just gets more familiar.
So what does starting actually look like? Pretty simple:
A short email, or booking a time online.
A quick intake form.
A first session where we just talk. No pressure to have it all worked out.
You don’t need the right words, and you don’t need to know where to begin. Helping with that is my job.
A new tomorrow doesn’t arrive all at once. It’s usually one honest conversation, then another. I believe God meets us in those small steps too.
If something’s been sitting with you, why not take that first step this week? Let me know what you’d like to do.
A new tomorrow starts smaller than you think.
Thanks,
Grant
